London Seaward travelled back to Haringey Borough for an intense cup rematch but were defeated 3-0, despite having won the previous fixture.
A replay was played due to substitution rules being broken after a mix up from the officials.
Seaward wanted to prove themselves once again and they started on the front foot, getting shots off early in the game.
Despite this, new keeper Daisy Strouts was soon tested and made a huge save, stepping up for the injured Alex Baker.
Haringey then started to make the Anchors’ defence work hard. The resulting pressure led to a foul in the box, awarding Boro a penalty which they converted in the 26th minute.
Seaward, undeterred, responded with resilience, pushing for an equalizer before halftime. Emma Cianter fired several shots on target, but each one was saved by Haringey’s keeper meaning Seaward trailed 1-0 at the break.
Early in the second half, the home side doubled their lead with the Anchors fighting to get back into the game. O’Brian unleashed a powerful shot from distance, but the keeper managed to tip it away.
The match started to heat up when Malcolm received a yellow card from the referee for a challenge causing uproar from the bench after similar fouls from the opposition went unpunished.
As the match drew to an end, Seaward had one last attempt with a beautifully taken free kick from Mia South that was begging to be tapped in, but no one managed to get the final touch.
Haringey wrapped up the match in the 90th minute, as the striker chipping the ball over Strouts to make it 3-0.
