An Independent Women's Club in East London

Playing in the FA Women’s National League, we are one of London’s highest ranked independent women’s football clubs.

Committed to the ensuring equality of access to football regardless of background or income, our goal is to show women’s clubs don’t need to be someone else’s “women’s team” to compete.

2024/25 Season Tickets Now Available

We’re delighted to announce that season tickets for our season at the Techsoc.com Stadium at Oakside in Barkingside, are now available. This season’s card will commemorate the Dick, Kerr Ladies whose 1920 2-0 victory over a French team was the first women’s association international match. Their success on the field, popularity garnering large crowds, and their fundraising for charity contributed to the FA banning Women’s Football on FA grounds for fifty years.

Season ticket holders this year can claim a free copy of Carrie Dunn’s excellent history of women’s football, Suitable for Females (some exceptions apply).

The Carney Review: Women’s Football Cannot Be a Side Hustle

London Seaward fully support the findings and recommendations in Raising the Bar, Karen Carney’s review of women’s football, but we would like to see more.

To truly prosper, women’s football needs to acknowledge the role of independent and lesser affiliated clubs to the vibrancy and success of the game, as well as address the structural issues around access to the sport for girls and young women across the country.

The issue of ‘big name’ men’s clubs using their financial power to access the league – and control its direction – needs also to be acknowledged and addressed.
