First Team Head Coach (Manager)
About the job
This role is focused on leading coaching for the first team, as well as implementing and executing the on-pitch strategy on matchdays.
About the club
London Seaward Football Club (LSFC) is an independent women’s football club playing in the FA Women’s National League (fourth tier of the pyramid). We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and diverse club, with players and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds.
Home matches are played at the TechSoc.com stadium in Redbridge, East London. The club train two nights a week, on Tuesday at the TechSoc in Redbridge and on Wednesday at Stepney Green pitches in Tower Hamlets.
Most official matches are played within the London area, although occasional longer-distance fixtures can occur in cup competitions.
Responsibilities
- Meeting FA Matchday Reporting Requirements, such as MOAS & FA Full-Time.
- Creating matchday packs, including matchday information
- Managing a squad database; injury lists, availability etc preferably via Spond
- Lead on tactics and coaching for the first team.
- Work as required, to establish playing philosophy and stye, and develop this on the pitch.
- Recruiting players as required, and identify reserve team players to develop in the first team.
- Oversee first team coaching, ensuring that club objectives around individual player and team coaching are met.
- Plan and deliver high-quality coaching sessions and exercises. Both individually and in collaboration with other coaching staff.
- Lead first team training sessions.
- Attend all first team matches and lead on-pitch activities, including tactics, selection and substitutions.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of club kit and equipment at matches as required.
- Lead coaching meetings.
- Ensure that coach and player behaviour at both training and matches meets club values and standards
- Provide interviews and programme copy as required to support club promotional and marketing material.
- Assist as required in identifying and recruiting additional coaches.

Matchday Volunteers
We are always looking for individuals who are happy helping out on matchdays. This often includes:
- Helping work the tannoy
- Helping the Matchday Manager staff the entry gate
- Assisting with tasks such as matchball retrieval or escorting and meeting referees and opponents
Our matches are generally played at 2pm on a Sunday at Oakside Stadium, just a few minutes walk from Barkingside Tube station.
Matchday volunteers are not expected to attend every game, with some attending as few as two or three home games a year. What matters to us is simply knowing in advance when an individual is available, and that the individual is committed to turning up.

Goalkeeper Coach
This role of Goalkeeper Coach is to Create and Implement a comprehensive, goalkeeper specific programme of coaching and performance support.
The commitment of this role to attend matches and training are to be agreed with the right candidate. Primary delivery time will be at training (Tuesday & Wednesday, 8-10pm) but may also include matchdays (usually Sundays at 2pm).
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is seeking an opportunity to further their skill-set and experience in the area of Goalkeeper Coaching.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Attending training sessions and matches to provide coaching to Goalkeepers
2. Creation and delivery of a high-quality Individual Development Programmes
3. Planning and delivering high-quality coaching sessions and exercises; Both individually and in collaboration with other coaching staff

This is a particularly interesting challenge as our players have to manage the large physical demands of competitive football in a part-time programme alongside work or studies.

Performance Analyst
Role Summary
The role of Performance Analyst is to Implement and Develop a comprehensive performance support programme for our players through various formats of performance analysis.
This role can be fulfilled largely remotely, with limited requirements to travel to matches or training (This can be agreed on an individual basis).
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is seeking an opportunity to further their skill-set and experience in the area of Performance Analysis.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the HUDL cameras and database systems; Ensuring that matches are recorded and then uploaded
- Create reports through match clips and feedback to highlight strengths and weaknesses of performance at a team, unit and individual level
- Create statistical analysis reports against key team performance metrics
- Support Individual Players with their Individual Development Plan goals by providing relevant match clips

Sports Therapist
Role Summary
The role of Sports Therapist is to work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary-Team to support the execution of Injury Prevention, Rehabilitation and S&C programmes. This is a particularly interesting challenge as our players have to manage the large physical demands of competitive football in a part-time programme alongside work or studies.
This role can be fulfilled largely remotely, with very limited requirements (As little as 1 hour per week) to travel to matches or training – to be agreed with the right candidate.
Primary delivery time will be at training (Tuesday & Wednesday, 8-10pm) but may also include matchdays (usually Sundays at 2pm).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide pitch-side medical cover at Training (occasionally on a matchday)
- Contribute to the delivery of a holistic approach to player care with a focus on injury prevention, progressive rehabilitation and maximising individual potential
- Deliver one-to-one support for implementing individual programmes such as Injury Prevention or Injury Rehabilitation programmes
- Assist in the recording and updating of key databases such as Injury lists

Head of Player Care
Role Summary
The Head of Player Care role is to Coordinate and Connect the individual roles within the existing Multidisciplinary team to Develop a comprehensive and holistic approach to the Player Care function which optimises the performance and wellbeing of our female players.
This voluntary role is ideal for an individual who is interested in Player Care, Women’s Football, Injury management or leading a Multidisciplinary team in sport. This is a particularly interesting challenge as our players have to manage the large demands of competitive football in a part-time programme alongside work or studies.
This role can be predominantly fulfilled remotely, with very limited requirement to travel to the ground and/or matches, although the ability to come and meet in-person on an ad-hoc basis is preferable, it is not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate a Multidisciplinary team of volunteers, within the Player Care team to deliver a comprehensive and holistic player care function
- Create a systemised approach to players accessing the right team member(s) for support within the constraints and context of our club
- Connect key internal stakeholders to ensure cross-department logging and management of key databases such as squad lists is accurate and timely
- Support the Welfare Officer and Designated Safeguarding Lead in the upholding of Safeguarding Best Practices, ensuring the welfare of everyone associated with our club
