Sunday was another bitter blow for us to take, and it really does have the feel of groundhog day as we go down 1-0 for the fourth time since my arrival.
We are not making the most of our moments, we really should have taken the lead with two great opportunities in the first half for Cloe and Leila. The defensive heroics of the 2nd half were finally undone, with an absolute screamer of a hit from the Cambridge midfielder.
We still then had time to carve open a golden opportunity to equalise late on by Leila just couldn’t get enough on the low cross into the near post.
The league fixture was my third game in charge where we finally succumb to too late goals after defensive mix ups to lose the match.
We go into Thursday’s cup game, with the league leader Chatham battered and bruised but not down and out yet.
We will keep going and these good performances will soon be rewarded with results, providing we start taking our chances when we are in the ascendancy
