For our eagerly awaited first game of the new season, we made the two hour trip to Norfork on a minibus. Leaving a cloudy overcast London behind, the sun came out on our arrival in Norfolk and a carpet astroturf pitch awaited us at the FDC arena.

Losing our Italian midfield maestro to a freak ballooning eyelid after a clash of heads in the warm-up, with a slight change in personnel, we got our game faces on. 

A nervy start from both sides, both getting a feel for each other and both keepers being tested. Seaward took a hold in possession and started to dominate, struggling however to convert chances created into anything more…
